Welcome
Come discover the fantastic world under the sea surface together with us at Mitt Hav!
How is one supposed to know that the eelgrass in Skälderviken functions as a nursing ground for many marine species, and therefore is of great importance for the local fish populations?
How can one ever admire the beautiful sea anemone and the soft coral dead mans hand up close if one do not scuba dive?
How can one understand the relationship between a healthy marine environment, fish and shellfish on the food plate and our own modern lifestyle, if knowledge regarding the marine ecosystems and the footprints we humans leave behind is lacking?
At Mitt Hav we want to encourage curiosity, and increase the knowledge and understanding for the marine environment and the species found in Swedish waters.
Throughout the summer of 2016 we offer a temporary exhibition about the local marine environment, and aquariums with organisms from southern Kattegat, northern Öresund and Skälderviken. Especially exciting, for both young and old visitors, is of course our touch tank where you can hold a sea star in your hand and discover some of our marine life up close.
During this time we also offer lots of fun and informative activities for children and adults of all ages.
